Bruce Wayne Endorses Bernie, Boosts Universal Housing

In what has come as a shocking reversal, ardent Republican and former Trump supporter Bruce Wayne has now apparently switched his endorsement to Bernie Sanders in a formal press statement.

“Bernie has really made me see things from a different point of view,” he said during the interview.

When asked what made him pivot his stance, he replied, “It’s unforgivable that this country doesn’t have universal healthcare.”

He talked about his role as a billionaire Bernie supporter:

“I have only recently become aware of the extent and arbitrariness of my economic privilege.  It’s giving me a whole different understanding of people’s rights, what to expect.”

He went further, stating that Bernie didn’t go far enough.  “If you really look at what people are going through, and you’re really in touch with what’s going on out in the streets, you know healthcare is not the sole issue.  People are going to die unless we pass universal housing.  We have to be aggressive and we have to get it implemented immediately.”

On financial news, he was pessimistic.

“I’ve been moving my money to various bonds and funds.  I do not have confidence in the current market fundamentals.”

He said he was going to change his strong anti-union stance at Wayne Enterprises.

“My parents gave me my money.  They were good people.  But there’s a lot of people out there who are hurting.  I’m working with the board of Wayne Enterprises to make sure we boost our contributions to the community.”

When asked if he would donate to the Sanders campaign, he replied he had already donated the legal maximum.

“It’s okay.  There are a lot of ways to help a campaign.”

He winked.

“I’m sure I’ll think of something.”
